Ruth asks…Is there a book about spiritual depression Christians experience caused by spiritual battles and intercession?I'm not referring to a Dark Night of the Soul , I've read extensively on that subject. Not feeling separated from God or that God is not reachable. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm referring to blackness, depression, heaviness, sobbing, inability to rise up from lying position, etc due to intercessary prayer for the lost. Think of Spurgeon and Finney. Both experienced what I am talking about before going out to preach. This is not sloth. This is not sin.
